Run by the Sea 2018 results are in!

Runners and walkers from Santa Cruz, the Bay Area, and beyond joined us in Wilder Ranch on Sunday, August 26th, 2018 for the 6th annual Run by the Sea. Thanks so much to the participants, our amazing volunteers, and incredible community sponsors and partners. Together, we raised $20,000 for Bike Santa Cruz County's work on bicycle advocacy, education, and community-building!

A stunning coastal route in Wilder Ranch State Park.

A benefit for Bike Santa Cruz County: promoting active transportation by making Santa Cruz County a better place for bikes, through advocacy, education, and community engagement.

Run by the Sea is a gorgeous half marathon, 12K run, or 4K run/walk that meanders along the undeveloped coastline north of Santa Cruz. Most of the run is on a flat, packed dirt trail, and overlooks wild rocky shoreline. No other running event uses the trail, and with a legendary beach crossing, Run by the Sea is unique in every mile.
